Marketing & Promotions Group, Inc. (MPG) was founded in 1993. Within 2 years, MPG was recognized as one of the USA's fastest growing small promotions firms by the Counselor Magazine, a trade publication to the industry. MPG was written about and profiled in many local papers and business magazines.
Back in 1993 when MPG was started; working from a friend and then, partner's 8' x 7' bedroom, MPG began small with no technological advances such as a fax, computer, or work space. Quickly, the word got out and MPG had many projects underway and within a few months, the company moved to Ridgewood, NJ where it currently operates.
Services provided include screen printed and embroidered apparel, digital promo printing, sourcing and production of all promotional merchandise, including imports. MPG also handles offset and digital printing, creative graphic design, embroidery digitizing, packing and fulfillment and sales-promotion consulting.
Many of the projects handled have been nationally noticed including apparel used on MTV, Wheel of Fortune, major rock music tours, national television commercials, political campaigns, advertising shoots for magazines, internet site promotions, in-store promotions and in-pack gift promotions nationwide.

Michael Gray founded Marketing & Promotions Group, Inc. (MPG) in 1993. Prior to founding MPG, Michael was the Director of Public Relations and Advertising for Weichert Realtors Corporate Real Estate.
Prior to founding MPG and working for Weichert, Michael was with MWW Group, one of the nation's largest public relations and public affairs companies. There, he worked with clients including Sony, Continental Airlines, Farmland Dairies, GAF Corp, and The Medical Society of NJ as well as having had numerous dealings with political leaders at the state and federal level. At MWW, Michael was part of the team who received the prestigious INC.500 Award for being part of the nation's fastest growing companies in 1991 as well as assisting the Director of the BUSH-NJ presidential campaign in 1992.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from William Paterson University and has taken graduate course work at New York University. Michael has also been an invited speaker to numerous schools and trade associations throughout the years as as written about in magazines and newspapers.
In 1999, Michael was named as one of New Jersey's Most Successful Business People Under the Age of 40 by Business News of NJ Magazine (now NJ BIZ Magazine).
In 2010, Michael became the Executive Producer of the cutting edge and exciting documentary film FIGHTVILLE which was selected for the 2011 South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Festival, ActionFest 2011 and HOT DOCS 2011. FIGHTVILLE US Television rights have been acquired by SHOWTIME NETWORKS.
Michael now is co-head of SMILEY BALL FILMS and has several new narrative and documentary films in development.
Michael is also a principal with 2112 ventures LLC, a consulting firm that provides advice and investment capital to emerging business opportunities specifically in the entertainment, real estate and homeland security industries. 2112 provided consulting services to BioDefense Corporation of MA where Michael had the honor to work with former Director of the CIA, James Woolsey. 2112 Ventures, LLC has been and is involved in many projects in independent feature film, commercial real estate investment and development, technology and online retail.
Michael spends his time with his family and enjoys the great film, the beach, reading, writing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu/MMA and conversing with interesting people.
